APEEE Uccle - Musique - Drum & percussion
DRUM COURSES

Drummer and percussionist graduate of the Brussels and Montpellier Conservatories, as well as of the Université de Provence (musicology).

Drumkit and percussion teacher since 1992 (European Schools, British School Of Brussels, summerclasses). Over the years my teaching has evolved into some sort of "edutainment" (a mix of
education and entertainment), adapting what I have to offer to the student's aptitudes. These will develop with regular practice, observation, imitation, interaction with other players, listening to
many different music styles, and for the more advanced ones, improvisation... During lessons the student will also learn a lot from playing along with recorded tracks.

I teach in English, French and Spanish.

PERCUSSION COURSES

APEEE Uccle - Musique - Ole Canenbley

As a musician who came on the one hand side from popular drumming and on the other hand side from a basic classical education, it was obvious that orchestral percussion over the years attracted more and more my interests.

In my lessons, we will pay attention to timpanies and snare drumming, the « royal couple » of Orchestral Percussion.

The portrayal of other instruments will lead us to different techniques, historical and stylistic facts. A third pillar of teaching will include the tight collaboration with the school’s symphony orchestra.

APEEE Uccle - Musique - Vassiliki Wiedenmayer

Passionate about music and children, I work in the European Schools of Brussels I and III since 1999 where I enthusiastically teach students (in French, English, German and Greek). I lead them to discover step by step the world of music and the pleasure of creating rhythms and melodies. My classical education (graduated in piano and chamber music from Thessaloniki and Paris) and my large experience in teaching as well as my practice of free improvisation are the tools I use to make my students develop their technique, interpretation skills and self-expression through the piano.

I gladly guide my students for the admission exams to the music academies or to the "ABRSM". I actively encourage the children to take part in our class since music is sharing and communication!

By using effective methods, I am able to reach out to each student, foster a fun learning environment and help students blossom into well-rounded individuals. APEEE Uccle - Musique - Alain Cupper

Following my classical music education, I quickly got into jazz music and studied at the « Jazz Studio » in Antwerp. Very active as a professional saxophone player, I regularly give recitals and I have recorded a few CDs. In parallel to these performing activities, I also spend much time and energy teaching music. High School music teacher at the European School of Uccle since September 2000, I also give lessons of the saxophone and music improvisation as a side activity (“périscolaire”) and manage the ‘bigband’. In the course of my career as a musician and as a teacher, I had the opportunity to perform a wealth of different music styles and gained an extensive experience.
